Welcome To Patrick Dansereau Music
I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, where I had the privilege of growing up home schooled. I started playing guitar when I was eight and writing my own songs when I was 14.
My dad is French Canadian, and so I’ve got lots of family in Quebec, where I’ve lived on and off for the last five years. Living there, I’ve found lots of inspiration for many of the songs I’ve written. Presently, I record demo versions of my music in a home recording studio that I built from the ground up, including the building, a shed in my parents backyard. I’ve also worked a lot in construction for the last 6 years and I love building stuff. Now, I’m super exited for this new season and the reality of the possibility of doing music full time as a career.
I’m hoping that by giving out demo CD now, it will help spread my tunes and help build a fan base and support group to fund a professional full-length, commercial quality album of my original songs that I’m hoping to get out before the end of 2013.
When I write songs I find inspiration from #1 My God and savior, #2 my life experiences like traveling, living in different cultures, observing the way people act and think. And of course, all the great musicians out there that have written such beautiful music.
Jack Johnson, Ari Hest, Michael Kiwanuka, Ray LaMontagne, Rosi Golan, Mindy Smith, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Josh Turner, Mat Kearney and so many more. I’ve had so many great influences in my life. I look foreword to all the great songs that are yet to be created. Come along for the ride, the doors are open wide.
